Choosing coaching software for lifters? Here's how they compare.
We built MyGymCoach, so we're biased. That's why every other app in this table is described from its own website, the sources are at the bottom, and where another app is the better pick for you, we say so.

Highlights in MyGymCoach
The part I built it for: seeing how training is really going
MyGymCoach brings training information into the check-in alongside your client's answers, helping you see missed targets, tension warnings and recovery in one place.
Check-ins that read the training
When a client sends their weekly check-in, it already shows which lifts missed their target reps and where target-muscle tension warnings came up, next to their fatigue, recovery and motivation scores against last week. You see the problem before you read a word.
Progression that moves with training
Choose progression for the program, or use Custom to set it per exercise. Targets move when the progression criteria are met, and you can hold a load or set a future target when you want to step in.
Setup memory
Clients save setup photos, machine settings, cues and notes on each exercise. When enabled, reminders appear at the top of the exercise. Fewer "what seat height was I on?" messages.
Lift videos with the check-in
Clients can attach short workout clips under 20 MB each to their weekly check-in for you to view.
Lessons built in
Your clients get training lessons from beginner to advanced inside the app, so you're not the only one explaining what progressive overload is or why fatigue matters.
Two ways to coach
Coach-Managed: you build the plan. Client-Built + Coaching: experienced clients build their own program and you coach them through check-ins. You decide who can edit training.
Which one fits the way you coach
Trainerize
Pick it if you want one platform for training, nutrition, habits, payments and video calls, and you don't mind paying for add-ons.
TrueCoach
Pick it if you want a simple, long-running programming tool with client payments built in and MyFitnessPal nutrition.
Everfit
Pick it if you want a free plan for up to 5 clients and you're fine adding meal plans or payments as add-ons.
Hevy Coach
Pick it if your clients already log in Hevy and its pricing fits your coaching business.
TrainHeroic
Pick it if you coach teams or athletes, or you want to sell programs on a marketplace.
MyGymCoach
Pick it if you coach lifters and want check-ins that show how training is really going, with automatic progression and the option to customize it per exercise.

Automatic progression when criteria are met, with per-exercise settings in Custom
Setup memory and workout video attachments in weekly check-ins
Your clients get the app free on phone and desktop
If it saves you one hour a week per handful of clients, it has paid for itself.
